Russell's Mom (Ty's Mimi) came for a visit last week--more on that
later. I just wanted to make sure we get these pictures up here of Ty
sleeping in the super awesome bed we set up for him. We did a pretty
good job of convincing him that he really did want to sleep in his
"Special Bed" which was a toddler bed mattress put in our closet. He
was convinced and actually asked to sleep there after Mimi left. Luckily, he did smoothly go back to his crib because although he did stay in the closet, he didn't exactly stay on the bed. We took some pictures over the course of the few nights and caught some funny stuff!
Totally flopped out...sans pants.
Here's how we found him in the middle of one night:And here's how he was the next morning!
This one's probably my favorite. So dramatic.
Here he was waking up from a nap...he was sleeping with him bum high in the air, but moved by the time I came back with the camera.
In case you can't find him, he's next to the bed on the floor. Silly...
We plan to set up his toddler bed for him when we move in a few weeks and we'll be sure to keep the little gate part on. I'm sure we'll find him in funny places then, too!
P.S. He has now gone 4 days of naps and bedtime with NO BINKY! We are pretty happy about that. It started with us repeating for a few days that "binkies are for babies" and then I suggested to him that he try his nap without it. When he did fine, we put him to bed that night without one also. Funny thing is, in the morning, he had one next to him. I have NO idea where it came from because I had just changed his sheet...whatever. Anyway, the next day he woke up from his nap and exclaimed, "No binky!" He was really proud of himself. Good job, Ty.
